Description
This is a redline for Whatsmynamehey's submission to . In the original, the artist mentioned that they had some trouble with the proportions of the figures and also the shading.
I only redlined the proportions and framework of the drawing here; the lines of the neck of the woman weren't parallel, and one was blending into her cheek line. Also, the placement of her clavicle in proportion to the angle of her shoulders to the camera was a little off. I also adjusted the form of the shoulders so they weren't so sloping.
As for the shading and coloring, I would suggest that the artist practice "squinting" to test their values for light and dark. So far, your good use of contrasting colors has made a really interesting piece, but the clavicle area is much too dark compared to the other dark skintone values you have. Even though the sternum and clavicle is more pronounced than the facial features, they aren't holes in the body. All you really need to do is take an eraser to those areas and lighten them just a tad. You did a pretty good job of keeping your whites (the lightest values) intact. I would say that maybe you could lighten up a bit of the man's hair to add some reflected light and highlights.
Otherwise, this is really awesome!
